The Partner Visa (Subclass 309/100) is designed for the spouses or de facto partners of Australian citizens, permanent residents, or eligible New Zealand citizens to live in Australia. This visa allows partners to stay in Australia temporarily (Subclass 309) and, if certain conditions are met, to apply for permanent residency (Subclass 100). The Subclass 309 visa is the provisional visa, while the Subclass 100 visa is the permanent visa.
Visa Stages
