Streams of Subclass 494

Eligibility Criteria

  • Sponsorship: Be sponsored by an approved employer in a designated regional area.
  • Occupation: Have an occupation on the relevant skilled occupation list.
  • Skills Assessment: Obtain a suitable skills assessment for your occupation if required.
  • Work Experience: Have at least three years of work experience in your nominated occupation.
  • Age: Be under 45 years of age at the time of application (some exceptions apply).
  • English Language: Demonstrate required English language proficiency.
  • Health and Character: Meet health and character requirements.
  • Labour Market Testing: The employer must show evidence of labor market testing to prove that they have made genuine efforts to hire an Australian worker for the role.
