Partner Visa (Subclass 820/801)
The Partner Visa (Subclass 820/801) allows the spouse or de facto partner of an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen to live in Australia. This visa is processed in two stages: the Subclass 820 visa is a temporary visa that allows you to stay in Australia while your permanent Subclass 801 visa is processed. If you meet certain requirements, you may be granted the permanent Partner Visa (Subclass 801).
Visa Stages
